Hip Replacement Timescales

I have been on the waiting list for a double hip replacement since August last year and have my pre-assessment next week. How long after the pre-assessment has anyone had to wait for the actual op, as I have been told it could still be 6 months away?

My MIL (who lives in Wales) had to wait just under three months from her pre-assessment. I think it is very much dependent upon where you live.

Anaesthetist. U can't really predict it tbh, preop has to be within 4m of surgery normally but if it times out they'll just do a quick phone review to check nothings changed
