Help with nails

Don't know if this the right place to ask?? My ds is 2 years old and he hates his nails being cut he screams and shouts.
I used to do it when was a sleep in the afternoons but he has stopped having his afternoon nap. Any ideas, I think I have tried everything even sitting on him !!!

I do my ds's finger nails (who is also 2) at night with a torch straped to my head! Just hope no-one ever breaks-in while I am doing it! Have to do his toe nails like that too!
