Saw HV for our 9-12 month check, she said that DD should start having vitamin drops.

Do you give your LOs vitamins? What age did you start?

Nope

I hope a balanced diet will be fine.

LynetteScavo · 09/05/2008 21:29

I was told by a HV to start giving vitamins when DS1 was nearly 2. I was as he was, and still is, a brilliant eater.

My other 2 DC's have proven to be "silly" eaters though, so I do give them vitamin supliments, but not every day.

There is no need for vitamin drops in healthy children if they eat a balanced varied diet. All the vitamins and minerals they need can be gained from food.

wHAT A PILE OF SHIT.nOONE NEEDS BLOODY VITAMINS IF THEY EAT PROPERLY.

BumperliciousNeedsToSleep · 09/05/2008 21:35

That's kind of what I thought. She's still bfed as well so she must get some goodness from that

Yep stick to your guns. Especially if you're still BFing.

Vitamin drops just make expensive wee.
