Thank you

The procedure was over fas

I was pleasantly surprised ( so far )

I fear waking up in am in pain tho.

I found the prep mixture 4 colonoscopy worse than today so far

Good, glad it's over, you'll soon look back on it.
To be honest mine didn't go great, but afterwards was fine and now it's a memory.

Listen to the post op instructions and do the salt washes. Get food in you can easily eat one side and avoid rice for a few days as it gets stuck in the hole

I know they say no alcohol but I found gin helped Grin. Just do t mix alcohol and strong painkillers

ACynicalDad · 21/02/2025 07:44

For your middle of the night painkillers - take the dose out of the packaging and put in a little dish next to a glass of water somewhere in your bedroom . Then move all the rest of the meds somewhere else. That way when you wake in the night you don’t have to look at your list and work out which tablets to take and how many , they are all ready for you.

It also reduces the risk of waking at 3am , taking some paracetamol, then waking again at 4 am and forgetting you have take them already.

You want to stagger the doses of the two types of tablets .

Are you on antibiotics as well?
