Daughter’s throat - opinions please

My daughters 3 and suffers from recurring tonsillitis, usually got told it was viral but she would only get worse so would end up back on antibiotics, after so long the doctor agreed to refer her to ENT, we are currently awaiting an appointment. Since the beginning of December she’s been ill with it the majority of the time, she’ll get a bit better for a week then back to crying from pain, vomiting etc. Two weeks ago she was put on a 10 day course of antibiotics again but told only to take them if she didn’t improve, she was in so much pain and with her temperature continuing I gave her them, she improved a little for a week however the last few days she’s in agony again, constantly coughing because her throat is irritating her and telling me how poorly her throat is. I’ve had a look at it and one tonsil seems much more swollen than the other to me but I’m also concerned about the blisters she’s got on the back of her throat, she’s had a few for a while but there’s so many now. Took her to the doctors again today and after only looking at her throat for a few seconds got told all looks ok not infected and if anything probably a virus, I had to mention the fact she suffers with recurring tonsillitis as gp was unaware. I may be over reacting but seeing her in so much pain is upsetting me now and just feel like compared to the child she usually is she’s not right at all. Her breathing is much louder than usual but told part of “virus”. I’ve attached pictures of her throat at the moment in hopes I can get some opinions and advice, thank you x

Take her back to the GP and ask them to speak to the Paed team. My son had reoccurring tonsillitis and had a three day course of azithromycin. He’s never had it since. He’s now 5! It’s a wonder drug. Have you had that one. Might be worth a try

Ask them to check for glandular fever as recurring tonsillitis is a feature of the illness. And ask about tonsillectomy.

I’ve never heard of this one but would definitely try it if there’s a chance it clears it completely! I’m just baffled how someone could look at her throat in the state it is and give it the ok, we’ve had an awful night, tears all night and telling me how much her “poorly throat hurts” 🙁
