Is it true that teething does not cause fever?

Just read an article on-line (what a stupid thing to do) about teething and fever. It said that teething does not cause fever, and that it is a myth. Dd has had a fever since last night, which is not bothering her at all so far - eating and playing normally.

Was sure it was teething but now am worrying she's coming down with something.

hiya

my 17 month old is teething too and she gets mild fever now and then. she always has done while teething so in my personal opinion they can have fever when teething

That's good to know - I'm no good at anticipating illness, it makes me a worrying loony.
