Eyelid eczema help!

Someone with experience of this please help!
I get terrible dry, sore and swollen eyelids, I assume it’s eyelid eczema but it hasn’t been diagnosed as such.
lately it’s flaring up really badly and nothing has helped.
i have tried:

  • vaseline
  • balmonds skin salvation
  • Epimax ointment
  • my own breast milk
  • cold compresses
  • keeping the area washed and clean and make up free
I spoke to an associate in Holland and Barrett who said it could be my BF hormones or gut related (great, how do you even begin to connect flare ups to what you eat??) she recommend balmonds skin salvation which seemed to make it worse. All of the above have made it worse aside from Epimax Ointment which occasionally does help but other times doesn’t touch it.

any advice is greatly appreciated!

I had this after I had my daughter - as soon as I went back on the contraceptive pill, it went! Anyway, I had to see a dermatologist and I got some protopic and it worked really well.! Good luck!

I got similar after using a harsh serum. A tallow and castor oil balm fixed it within a couple of days.

I saw a GP for mine which was on my under eyes and eventually a private dermatologist as I was desperate. Mine was actually a nail varnish allergy which I developed after the birth of my second child.

Baby shampoo gives me eyelid eczema (I have blepharitis) so I really wouldn’t recommend it! Luckily it resolved on stopping.

We had to see a dermatologist and get steroid cream when one of the dc had it.
