Abnormal serum total protein & RBC?

Hi I had some bloods done yesterday and some of the results are showing online. My red blood cell count is 5.10 10*12/L & serum total protein 57 - 76. My vitamin D is also low. Should I be worried? Obviously I won’t be able to speak to a dr until Monday (If I’m lucky). I had the bloods done due to exhaustion and generally feeling unwell

I can't remember the normal reference ranges but the GP won't have seen the results yet and probably won't until later today. Why not wait until later in the week and then the GP will have had a chance to think about them. From looking at upper limits online protein can be up to 83 depending on the lab so I don't think this sounds worrying

This is why results shouldn't be available online until the GPs have seen them and commented. Glad we didn't have this in Scotland where I practiced. The system means well but it causes unnecessary anxiety

Sorry I see the ranges for protein in your op. This is such a tiny margin above normal I wouldn't consider it abnormal and the RBC is normal so I would wait to be contacted

To me they are so borderline close to normal, I would guess your GP will probably mark them as normal. Sometimes people have results just above the ranges they give on the NHS app but they aren't concerning.

What is your vit D? Having low vitamin D can throw other things off so I would perhaps work on raising this.

I got to speak to one of the nurses they areonly concerned about my Vitamin D level being low so they’ve prescribed me some high strength tablets to take for 6 weeks and then the bloods will be redone
