Lump under skin on thigh? Photos included

1 week ago I noticed a pea sized lump on my anterior thigh, it’s not overly visible with the eye when looking but feels pea sized and below the skin, definitely not a spot and something below the surface. Feels hard and doesn’t move easy the way a lymphnode would but when I pull the skin it moves with the skin/fat. There is a very very slight light redness as you can See in the photo. I would have health anxiety in general and have appt on Monday for a US scan privately but wanted some peace of mind that it isn’t something sinister and what else it could be or if anyone had had something similar?

I had one of those. Slightly further up on my thigh. It grew and grew. I had an ultrasound and they weren't clear but thought it might be an epidermoid cyst.
Took under a year to really develop into the most massive cyst (hard, soft; red, white, purple, black; painless, painful). It finally exploded in a riotous fashion and now no longer exists.
Wishing you well @efamcg112 - hopefully all will be good

My mum has two I think, definitely one but I think two, they’re cysts. On her upper thigh.

@Ickity @Pebbles16 Thank you for your response! Just glad to know things that looked similar actually were cysts, will settle my mind over weekend till I get it scanned.

thank you so much

You can grow them anywhere it seems! I’ve had one in my breast for years. And my DH has two in his chest, over his breastbone and has done for even longer than that!
