Hello

My 2 & a half year old never had any smell atal from his mouth.. but for about 5 days now his breath really smells... like proper bad breath.. it lasts most of the day.. he hasent had any illness for weeks so its not related to a cold or anything.. The only thing I can think of is he only has 2 final teeth to get (the top back 2)..could the breath maybe be a sign they are on the way?? Has anyone else experienced a sudden change in breath in their child???should i take him to Gp?
any advice would be greatly appreciated.
(p.s.. i have looked up his nose & it seems clear & he is happily breathing through his nose.. so cannot see he has any object stuck up there or anything?)

Dd had really bad breath at this age - turned out where a tooth was breaking through the gum had become infected - the smell was the infection. Quick course of antibiotics sorted it out. Get to your gp!
