Nightly nosebleeds

Hello. Does anybody experience nightly nosebleeds? I am experiencing nosebleeds every night. They stop within a minute or two maximum, but they are so annoying. GP has tried a couple of creams which help, but don't solve the issue. I'm going to push for an ENT referral. Has anybody else experienced this? I'm wondering if it's hormone related!

Have you had your blood pressure checked? Frequent nose bleeds can be a symptoms of very high blood pressure.

@PachinkoFreeFood Yes. Blood pressure all normal. Bloods all normal. I'm assuming it's weak vessels maybe?!

Lots of this in my family.

They can be related to humidity my son gets multiple a day in summer.

Another family member had her nose quarterised which stopped them. A different family member was told NHS don't fund this anymore

@Burntt Thank you. Yes the GP hasn't mentioned cauterisation to me so that's an interesting point about the nhs. And interesting you say it's in your family - my sister has frequent nosebleeds but not to the extent I get them! 🧐

I agree with the humidity (or lack of) comment. I get them in winter when the central heating's on drying the air out too much.

I got this for a bit. It was so scary as they were mad bleeding. They just stopped randomly

PachinkoFreeFood · 13/02/2025 08:38

Is your vision ok? No double vision or frequent headaches etc? If so... most likely to be dry nostrils from central heating and harsh cold etc... or from picking your nose too much 😉

Lollyl88 · 13/02/2025 08:52

Haha. No. None of the above. I've had an eye test and all good. Ive had a couple of headaches but just had a coil put in so put it down to that. They're not persistent or regular. Also had a brain MRI for pins and needles recently 🙄 Think I'm drying up lol
