Hi so I’ve been on the nexplanon about 16 months.
had heavy bleeding at the start which lasted months and since then settled, for about 6 months I’ve had regular periods at roughly the same time every month.
i will admit I am a busy mum with 3 kids and a lot to do so I don’t really track the date my period comes but I know it’s always the beginning of the month and around now ( maybe in a day or 2 late)
I woke up last night with some stomach pain, I get regular periods on nexplanon so far but not really bad bad period pains. I have been like this in the past but many years ago.
the pain lasted all day on and off , like a heavy feeling in my lower abdomen and back and now full blown pain. I was taking pain killers all day yesterday expecting to start bleeding but I haven’t started bleeding as of yet. All night I’ve been in quite bad pain and couldn’t sleep. At about 10pm was quite severe and went to the toilet and had quite bad diareha too. Had a bath at 10.30pm which did ease things a bit and managed a couple of hours sleep but here I am now awake. Still no bleeding but quite bad lower stomach pains, a constant dull ache also mix with pains like I have diareha and need the toilet.
Ive been taking 2 nuromol every 6 hours which is quite strong but doesn’t seem to be touching it. Just feel like it’s one thing after another really lately and this is all I need.
is this normal? I haven’t even started bleeding yet, I have been like this in the past but many years ago. Could my period just be trying to start? I’m about to take 2 more pain killers and see if it settles down but the pain is quite bad.
