Sinus infection - Do I need ABs?

So I started with a sore throat/cough/heavy cold in early Jan. The cough has almost cleared up but the cold just won't shift!
I have a feeling of pressure around my forehead and my ears feel blocked as though my head has been underwater. I'm quite snotty and bunged up too.
Today when I blew my nose it was the colour of yellow highlighter pen. I've never seen anything like it🤮
I'm pretty sure it's an infection. I don't feel so bad that I can't go to work etc but I am fed up of feeling as though I have a heavy cold. Do I need to see a doctor or should it clear up on its own?

I've seen a lot of people on here saying that this year's colds have given them sinus infections so it might be worth trying to see a gp just in case antibiotics or further treatment is required.

See a GP and let them decide.

I am just recovering from the worst sinus infection that's lasted 10 weeks. I felt I was going mad. First lot of antibiotics done nothing so I'm now on heavy duty antibiotics and steroids that (touch wood) seem to be clearing it. There does seem to be more sinus problems going around.

I've got my first cold in absolutely ages OP, and I feel like it has gone to my sinuses. I'm reluctant to take antibiotics, as I take a lot due to recurrent UTIs. It just isn't shifting though, and I can relate to the yellow highlighter colour!

I would. I had this in December and I'm still getting deafness from it now. I wish I'd pushed for antibiotics earlier.

I'm still even today getting grim colours. It's significantly reduced but it's been two months!

Oh goodness! Sorry to hear there are so many fellow sufferers!
I might give it a day or two then try to get a GP appointment. I don't feel unwell as such, but this amount of congestion and the yellow fluid definitely isn't right.

Very similar here OP! I had a cold over new year and on and off sinus issues since. One lot of antibiotics did nothing, and it's now back with a vengeance the past few days, I had to abandon working after a couple of hours today as it's making me feel so rough and ended up sleeping loads. Don't really want more antibiotics but it really doesn't seem to want to shift and this latest flare up comes with v painful ears too.

Sinusitis can be treated in a pharmacy via the pharmacy first scheme in England . Treatment options include steroid nasal spray and antibiotics.
