Hi I'm currently 28 weeks pregnant and have just been told about the new rsv injection that is offered to elderly and pregnant mums that rolled out last year, I'm just wondering peoples opinions on it, and, or has anyone had it yet and what we're their experiences like. Many thanks 😊

I've given hundreds. It's been given to premature babies for some time and now also to the elderly.
Highly recommend.

Standard practice here for pregnant women. Get the vaccine, you don't want your baby getting rsv.

It wasn't an option during my first pregnancy but will absolutely be getting it in my current one. Would much rather that than a newborn with RSV. Especially having seen the difference in my DD (vaccinated) and husband (last vaccinated as a child) when they both had whooping cough. Can't imagine taking the risk.

Agree. RSV can be terrible for newborns. My friend’s little boy ended up on a ventilator when he got it. He recovered but it was a terrifying experience. I’m currently expecting and will 100% be getting the vaccine. I’d never forgive myself if I didn’t get it and the worst happened.
