Should I be worried?

Periodically I get these weird brown stains on my hands. Looks a little bit like dark fake tan in small splotches on my hands/fingers. Doesn't wash off despite scrubbing but usually fades by the end of the day. It doesn't hurt or anything so seems silly to visit a dr but worried it could be something sinister.
Google doesn't really provide answers. Although googling weird brown splotches might not be the best search term.
I can attach a pic if that would help.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what it could be and reassure me that it's perfectly harmless.

Search on Gransnet for 'orange stains on hands.' It seems that quite a few people have something similar.

Gransnet? I'm only 36.

I've looked on gransnet. Seems no one knows what it's about. Lots of thoughts that it's to do with eating certain food but that doesn't really fit with my experience. None of them appear to have had any problems so it's probably fine.

The bottom bit is a shadow. It's the top brownie/orangie bit.

Anywhere near lily pollen, OP?

Strangely I found a similar splodge on my thumb last week. It disappeared. Not sure what it was.

Not near any pollen. It's so weird. It's happens quite a few times now. Doesn't seem to be any connections.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it was an age thing;; I thought the comments there sounded reassuring though.
