please can you recommend consultants in London that deal with varicose veins please.
I’m only very early 30s, fit, healthy, active, non-smoker, don’t drink etc etc so it’s not lifestyle just genetics unfortunately 😔 they were there ever so slightly from about mid-20s onwards but after the initial covid vaccine (I had AstraZeneca before they realised it was unsuitable for the under 30s) they really started to get very bumpy and they are just getting worse quicker than ever in both legs the more time passes and I’ve not worn clothes that I’d love to in about 5 years now due to how self-conscious they make me feel so I just want to get them sorted once and for all so I have a hope of wearing proper summer clothes and bikinis etc and going on holiday without thinking people are staring at me and disgusted.
on top of the self-conscious aspect they really ache and are very uncomfortable at times especially if I’ve done a lot of walking or exercise they will literally throb and swell out even more.
I waited 18 months to see an NHS vascular consultant in SE London who looked at me and just said it was very unfortunate that I was so young but due to the state of the NHS there was nothing they can do (in my borough) until it’s too late i.e ulcers present etc (this was in September 2023)
so PLEASE any recommendations of private consultants so I can get a consultation and the right treatment sorted out. I’ve googled loads in the last few years including vein centre, Harley street, uk vein clinic etc etc but I’d love some real recommendations from people who are happy with their results because I don’t want to pay all the thousands of pounds and see no results x
