DD (age 6.5) is suffering badly, and wondered if any mumsnetters have any advice re: a good over the counter remedy?
Thanks

Why not take her to the gp and get prescribed meds for nothing?

Elibean · 08/05/2008 18:44

You can get Zirtec syrup, I think, for over 6 without prescrition, if thats what you're looking for?

Thanks for the advice . I would go down the GP route, but next available appointment is 21st May (regular Gp just left, long story). I've got Benadryl but will try out Zirtec if it doesn;t help

we have neoclarytin but prescribed...

OP - ring up again and demand an emergency appt. It is unacceptable that your dd should wait till 21 May if she is suffering.

I haven't tried Zirtec on mine. I find Benadryl better than Piriton (I think it's Benadryl - I should check the name). I didn't realise you could get Zirtec for that age. With adults, I find Zirtec the most potent for me (certainly with the knocking out potential too).

Mine are suffering terribly at the moment. It's awful isn't it.
