Quick question about Metformin and D&V

If I'm not really holding any food down should I still be taking my Metformin (for type 2 diabetes) as normal, or should I reduce dosage/not take it/phone GP and ask?

Actually it's not such an urgent question now, I managed to eat a banana so took the tablet with that. I must remember to ask the nurse/gp next time I go.
