Hi all, I’ve recently been diagnosed with GPC (Giant papillary conjunctivitis). This has been an ongoing problem for well over 6 months but I’ve only just got the correct diagnosis.
The allergy issue has caused the skin around both my eyes to swell and itch. My right eye in particular seems constantly swollen and now I have enlarged creases under it which are really getting me down. It’s probably barely noticeable to other people but I feel like all I can do is see this aging eye when I look in the mirror (plus I’m struggling appearance wise since turning 40, feel like I’ve instantly changed!).
My question is, now I’ve got these creases will they ever go away or are they permanent? And if so is cosmetic surgery the best route to help?
And does anyone have any tips to reduce eye swelling/itching?
Would be so grateful for help as I don’t know what else I can try. Ive tried all creams, gels, low percentage steroid cream. Eye mask (which I always use for the eye problem but it’s not helping the skin problem).
