No, do go to a&e. Do you see a line going from the wound and up your leg?

I had septicaemia (sp) last year from a rusty nail in the garden. I sat in A&E on a drip half the night getting two different types of antibiotics intravenously. They then gave me two set of ABs to take home. They called me two days later to come in and get different antibiotics, as they had made an analyzis of the micro organisms in my blood and had better meds for me.

DO NOT HESITATE. The doc said, had I left it later he would have had to consider amputating, dont know if he was joking, but his face was dead serious.

The wound was throbbing and my thumb swelled up. It was tiny, just a hardly visible scratch on my thumb. But my wrist started hurting too, and I felt unwell. The doctor noticed a small fine line going from my wound up to my elbow. It is called "tracking".
