Armpit pain

I have armpit pain in my left armpit which is getting worse. I've just taken some Codeine. There are no lumps, bumps, itchiness, rash, dryness or anything else.

It feels like my armpit hair is trapped and being pulled. Anyone experienced this and have any idea what it is?

How long has it lasted for? It sounds like nerve pain.

Just over a week. I haven't strained it or injured it. It started off by being uncomfortable in bed, I couldn't lay on my left side because of pain. Now it's painful all the time.

If anyone is experiencing similar pain, I'm currently being investigated for breast cancer. Please see your Dr.

Yes, you really need to see a doctor. It could be anything from nerve pain to cancer. My auntie had similar pain and ended up having breast cancer.

It’s been sore a week and nobody on here can diagnose you. Ring doctor on Monday.

Edit: sorry to hear about your diagnosis. My comment was tactless. It’s worth re ringing your doctor and telling them about the pain.

Thanks. I've already been to the breast clinic and had a biopsy, am waiting for the results. I had no idea what it could be but eventually developed a lump in the area and was put on the urgent pathway. Had I known pain in the armpit could be breast cancer, I would have acted immediately.
