Embarrassing but breast question

Smelly foul liquid under breasts. Shower daily, change pj top and sheets frequently.

Change bra often. Soft not underwired.

Mid fifties- never been troubled by this before.

Just don’t want to bug GP when someone might have idea of cause and how to treat.

Grateful for anyone who can give advice.

It’s a skin crevice infection which is quite common if you are older or have bigger breasts. I keep it as dry as possible and use sudocrem for a few days if the skin is getting red or shiny. It may be that you need to change your bra every day and perhaps buy a new style that fits better underneath and hoicks them up so that the crease doesn’t rub as much - I find underwires better for this. Some women find antifungal cream helps but for me a barrier cream tends to work best.

Try using Canesten for a couple of weeks. You need to keep using it this long, as the yeast lingers.

Change all your bras for cotton ones.
