Sorry for long post!

Took microgynon for many years with no issues, after having 2 children went back on microgynon but it was giving me raised blood pressure, decided to stop pill and allow body to regulate.

Started to suffer heavy periods to the point I was severely anemic, scans etc all came back fine and was recommended to either have the coil filled or try the mini pill - did not want the coil so went for mini pill option and started on Zelleta a year ago. Not on it for contraceptive reasons as husband has had a vc.

I am on of the people that continue to have a period whilst on the mini pill, a few days before a period is due my anxiety is at a ridiculous level, it feels like it consumes me and I don’t like who I become!

I feel like I am stuck between a rock and a hard place, if I come off the pill I will go back to being anemic but it I stay on this I have a week a month of being someone I don’t like!

Any experiences or recommendations welcome!

Thank You!

You could try a mini pill that isn't desogestrel based. The other ones only have a 3 hour window to take them but might be worth trying

This was me! Only I tried coil and bleed for 9 months. I was getting horrendous migranes twice a month with hormones and GP mentioned in passing about new progesterone only pill slynd... Life changer for me... Although it has a break in cycle periods are now almost non existent and I am finally migrane free again. I can't shout about it enough. I seen another GP recently and she wasn't aware of it and I think I've converted her now to it's amazingness. Worth a try OP
