Vitamin B12 low

Had a blood test at the start of the month as I've been feeling quite unwell, had severe stomach issues, fatigue, joint pain ect. My vitamin b12 came in at 110, which is apparently low? GP sent a text message saying to buy supplements. I've been taking them since but haven't felt they have made any difference, still exhausted ect. Does anyone know how long supplements take to kick in? Should I go back to the gp?
I'm tired of feeling rubbish tbh.

I’ve just been advised to take B12 tablets after a blood test. The text message from the doctor said they’d do another blood test in a months time to check on progress. I’d advise contacting your doctor’s practice.

Which B12 did you buy? There are four types, some are directly absorbed, others, such as the cheap Cyanocobalamin needs to be converted.
I take Methylcobalamin as a melt absorbed by mouth mucosa.
And how much do you take? mine is 1000mcg. I see a lot of supplements with only 100mcg.

@Cormoran I got 1000mcg and its methylcobalamin and adenosylcobalamin.

@worrisomeasset did the gp prescribe yours or did you have to buy them? I'm going to have to go back because I don't think I'm absorbing them properly anyway.

I was asked to buy them. I’ve had a couple of B12 injections in the past as I was told I’m not absorbing B12 in my stomach, so I’m not sure why they’re now advising pills.
