Day 6 of flu when will it end?

I'm currently on day 6 with the flu. I feel weak, exhausted, have the worst cough, chest pain, a temperature & feel so nausea. When will things improve? I feel like things will never get better it really is so so rough.

Just wanted to say thank you for all your replies. A lot of us seem to really be having a rough time with it. I went to the doctors today and they have prescribed me antibiotics for a chest infection so hopefully start to feel better soon.

Good luck @coco111 Make sure you are eating something and still getting lots to drink. Two days into antibiotics and starting to feel a little bit better after the feeling this was not going to stop. We will feel better again!

I came down with a “normal” cold on Wednesday, bit snotty and tired but otherwise manageable.

Plummeted over the weekend into whatever this disgusting thing is. Relentless coughing to the point of vomiting, tight achy chest, temp up and down, the body aches are insane, exhausted.

Hoping it buggers off soon, very rarely get poorly at all but this is horrendous!

12 days of being properly bed-bound ill, 3 weeks in total feel better.

Also got a chest infection and then antibiotics, that was day 10 I think.

Two weeks and still full of gunk with a horrible wheezy cough. When does this clear up?

antibiotics sorted out the sore throat and red patches. Bacterial infection on top of a virus.
