I posted another thread earlier tonight about feeling rage 1 year after my second DS, but wondering if it could be Keppra Rage?
Long story short, I’m 33 and had my first tonic colonic seizures at 23. It took 7 years but I finally got on the right dose of Keppra and Lacasomide to control my seizures. I’ve been seizure free since December 2020. However whenever my Keppra was increased previously I would struggle with rage until things settled.
I had my DSs in 2022 and 2024 but the past couple of weeks have felt this rage building. I’ve been extremely tired this past year and my DH has been a god send. But I feel like my meds could possibly be having an impact on my mood all of a sudden. I’ve always felt more tired since being on Keppra. It’s not something that’s ever gone away but has been managed with good sleep hygiene, regular exercise, eating well. But I’m wondering if the sheer exhaustion mixed with meds and two little kids is causing Keppra rage again. Can this happen? The rage just feels the same!
My GP is going to arrange a blood test as they think my B levels could be low. Is there anything I could do or take in the mean time? Looking back, I think the best I ever felt was when I was pregnant due to the extra folic acid and Pregnacare. Maybe I am deficient in something? I just don’t want to feel so angry anymore.
