Does this look like it’s healing okay?

I had a skin biopsy last Thursday and they put dissolvable stitches in and said they would dissolve in 2-4 weeks. It was one stitch but went in and out about three times. The first photo is from Saturday when I took the dressing off, you can see the stitches. The second one is from tonight it looks like one of the end knots and a couple of the loops have come out already.

I do think it’s healing okay and it’s not bleeding. It’s difficult to put a plaster over it as the surrounding skin is sore / flaky.

Not a medical professional but it looks like the stitches came out too early and it's still a gaping hole.

The second photo looks like it's opened back up so I would seek medical advice on this

I'm a nurse, you need to see your practice nurse as the wound definitely needs a dressing on it.

I definitely would get that seen to asap to ensure it doesn’t get infected. It looks fine but I think it’s opened before it’s healed fully.

I would call 111 for guidance on how to keep it clean and covered until you get in to the surgery. You need to protect it from infection.

Thanks all, I’ve got an appointment with the nurse this afternoon. I’m currently on antibiotics for a skin infection so hopefully will reduce the chances of any infection in it too.
