I'm literally bed ridden and I have a 3 year old and a newborn (2 weeks old) to look after. I feel so so poorly and can't recall having anything like this in years, fever, headache, cough, extremely swollen glands. My son had a temp for 4 days and unwell about a week ago so presume I've caught that?
I'm praying my little girl doesn't catch it as shes so little 😫. Just a rant really. I feel so so fed up of illnesses I feel like never leaving the house. Feel very down , it just seems never ending.
I'm day 3 now and praying I feel a bit better tomorrow.

Yes. Day 6 here, 3/4 of us are down!

I've just recovered from it. Went down on Christmas Eve and was literally in bed for three weeks. Ended up with pneumonia. I have never been so ill.

Get better soon..

It's absolutely terrible. Had 2 hours sleep because of looking after a newborn and can hardly lift head off pillow

I’ve not been feeling great since Monday, not poorly enough to be in bed but not getting far off the sofa, been working from home. Really achy, bit tight chested, headache, blocked ears, felt really nauseous on Monday. Hope it clears for us all soon.

Just read that you have a newborn to look after, massive hugs, hope you have support around you to help?

@Elisabeth3468 I think because you are still recovering from birth you need to have this illness checked by a health care professional.

Have you been discharged by the midwife service? If so, I think you need to contact your GP.

In terms of your newborn, remember they currently have all your blood in their system, all your immunity so they are quite well provided for.

Do you think?
Pretty sure it's off my 3 year old as he had it last week and was really poorly.
Still feel terrible today but no worse as such
