Does anyone ever experience this days or up to a week before period is due.

My periods are long gone now, but I used to have this. I always felt it was connected with bloating and the pressure on my bladder. I remember needing to go frequently but not actually peeing very much on each occasion.

Yes. How I know my period is due

I didn't, but I always seemed to get slightly looser bowels. I felt like my body was trying to clear me out and remove pressure before period pain. I know it's normal to poo before labour, so I think it's just an extension of that.

Yes me. I start with a few days of increased thirst, drink loads of water in the run up to my period, then have a day or so of constant peeing which is a relief actually!
I've noticed it more as I've got older, the thirst is a sure sign my period is nearly due.

Yep, most obvious at nighttime when I feel the urge to pee (and usually can) 3-4 times before I actually fall asleep. Usually I'm up once.

Yes, I'm due on and I've been to the loo about 8 times in the past 8 times!!

Yes! Even worse than usual last month and this month. So bloated, mouth constantly dry, thirsty and peeing all the time, at least once or twice through the night too. I accidentally woke DD up on Christmas morning because I had to get up to pee rather than getting a bit more sleep. She was sleeping lightly as it was near our usual school day waking time so heard me and woke.

Yes, when I still had periods it was one of the signs that my period was about to start.
It's due to pre-menstrual water retention suddenly stopping, and your body getting rid of the excess water. The same reason that you can put on a bit of weight before your period then lose it when your period starts - it's just a gain and loss of water.
