Help- do I have chicken pox??

I’m covered in lots of tiny little bumps that are barely visible but itch like crazy. They started a couple of days ago. More have sprouted today. I have them everywhere but my face (thankfully). They don’t seem as big as my children had when they had chicken pox years ago but I can’t think what else they could be. I don’t feel poorly, just tired. I had chicken pox as a child and have been around it a lot since and never been reinfected. No one else in my house has them. They’re not bed bug bites- DH is fine. I’m being driven insane- any possible idea what these could be would be gratefully received.

Are they blistering?
CP would form blisters and then scab over

Maybe scabies. You could go to the pharmacy and they may be able to tell you.

Scabies does not sound good- I really hope it’s not that. No one else in the house has it though.

good idea re the pharmacist

Does indeed look like chicken pox, any fever ? Also try antihistamine/pharmacy for the itch

LostittoBostik · 16/01/2025 21:03

If they're blistering they're not bed bug bites - but just to say DH being fine doesn't mean they aren't bed bugs. Not everyone reacts to the bites which is why some people have no idea until they have a terrible infestation.

Just to rule it out check your bed and mattress for black dots that look like a someone has dotted it with a biro

Thank you, will do. Massively hoping they’re not. Would prefer the chicken pox!

No fever, no. They seem chicken pox like apart from being soooo tiny. Some I can’t see until I feel the itch and then scratch and feel the tiny bump.
