It's a coil question...

Got mirena put in month ago. Feels fine, no pain apart from mild cramps v. occasionally. Been bleeding to varying degrees since then but know that can be expected.
Issue is since it's been in, i've been feeling like i need to wee all the time! No pain just feeling like i need to go, even after i've been. I've been doing things to help empty bladder ie rocking, standing then sitting and usually more comes out. I know i have mild bladder prolapse from before the coil which used to cause this pressured bladder at ovulation and menstruation but not other times. Now it's all the time! Has anyone had this and it went away as your body gradually got used to the coil? Thanks

I've had two Mirenas and not experienced this. It might be a good idea to talk to your GP.

It did not suit me at all and I ended up with a inflamed cervix
I would go back and get the doctor to check it is in the right position. Doctors are pushing this coil and don’t seem to realise that it doesn’t suit all women. It took me 16 months to get them to remove mine. During that time I had continuous spotting and I also became fat and had hair loss and spots

You need to get it checked out. This shouldn’t be happening.

I've had a few and never had anything like that.

It could be affecting your hormones and causing this, if you've had it before?

Thankyou all, yes i was wondering if it was the hormonal change as the feeling pre coil was linked to different times of the month
