hi xx
just need some advice really

im on two different antibiotics at the moment for both a UTI & tonsillitis. The UTI ones feel like they’re doing a job and kicking in, I thought the penicillin ones were but I feel really breathless. I have asthma and had pneumonia in October and nearly died so obviously I’m quite anxious at the moment. I have had panic attacks all day and night yesterday and very drowsy and nauseous. I put it down to the antibiotics (2 at once!) & made sure I was eating lots to fill my tummy and keeping very updated with fluids. That helped a bit and I can deal with the churning feeling in my tummy now however the breathing….

the man at the MIU clinic (out of hours) said that my chest is clear but he can hear something (what?)…. & he said my chest is fine it’s not asthma it’s the infection and sensation of the tonsils being swollen. My tonsils are still red with white dots and naturally huge but I think they’ve got better however my shortness of breath is very prominent and I’m worried. I’ve only been on the antibiotics since yesterday but they’re intense and very regular daily. I am scared as I’ve already had what felt like an asthma attack I’m so scared I don’t want to die :( does anyone have any advice? Or reassurance?
when I had pneumonia I nearly died and I’m so scared it’s gonna happen again , I’m also bringing up phlegm with a pale yellow colour
thank u so much in advance xx

Hi OP, I have asthma and occasionally when I am really anxious it feels like I can’t catch my breath. Have you got ventolin? If someone heard your chest and it was clear with a bit of minor noise that was probably due to the virus you have right now.
