DS has rash - chicken pox??

He has woken up this morning with little red spots all over his chest, back, nappy area, couple behind one ear but they are very small with no blisters on top. He has had MMR so not any of those.

Nursery said two kids went home on Friday with CP.

DS is off his food but otherwise chirpy.

Any ideas?

yes could be chicken pox. Does he have a temperature?

sounds like CP to me - my DS didn't have a temp at all - some kids sail through it and some are quite poorly - wait and see if any more spots appear...

Do the spots get larger? They are prob the size of the 'o' on here at the moment

sounds like ds's when he first got it - like tiny insect bites.

The blisters started to appear a few days later.

Armadillo - yes. Like little flea bites (and I don't have fleas )

Just a bit gutted as my friend and her DH and LO were meant to be coming for dinner this afternoon but have advised them to cancel as her LO hasn't had it and she is pg.

If she has had it already she'll be fine. We checked when ds got it. I expect she doesn't want lo to get it though.

He has it on his feet now?!?! Still like little flea bites and there are loads more in his nappy area. Will these turn into blister spots if it IS CP?

Ds had them in some very uncomfortable areas - between bum cheeks, all over willy ad balls and even on his tongue! He was covered except hands and feet.

We gave piriton and calpol. We tried calamine but he wouldn't let it near him so covered nappy area in sudocreme.

Ds had it quite badly though.
