I'm considering laying private for a full Body MRI as part of a health MOT.

Please no judgment on why I am choosing to have one, I do have health anxiety so I have my reasons.

I wanted to ask if anyone could tell me if a Full body MRI would detect:
Bowel cancer
Oesophageal cancer
Stomach cancer
Neck/throat cancer

Hi Op, I had my private GP appointment yesterday, the GP listened to me well and I wasn't rushed or talked over like at my own GP appointments. She said she can understand why my GP hasn't referred me on because they're following the NICE guidelines but she can also see how 1 of my 3 issues I'm querying is affecting my every day life and feels there is bound to be an alternative to what I'm currently living like with my bowels so she's referred me to a private gastroenterologist and I've only 2 weeks to wait for the appointment on 3rd February.

Have you considered seeing a dietician and trying a low fodmap diet in case it is ibs? You could get started on this while you're figuring out next steps. At least you'd feel you were doing something proactive.
