Athletes foot on one foot - treat both feet?

Athletes foot seems to be on one foot (very itchy around toes) but not on the other foot. Is it a good idea to put athletes foot treatment cream on both feet (to be on safe side in case anything is lurking on other foot?!) or just the affected one? The cream instructions say to treat affected area. TIA

Can’t do any harm

I get athletes foot maybe once a year, I usually only do the foot/toes impacted and it tends to kill it off for a year or so. No harm doing both.

Make sure you wash hands/change gloves when you move between feet so you don't spread it.

Yes and apply to the non-affected foot first.
