Mohs on the nose?

Any experience?

A quick history: lesion on nose been treated twice with cream (2020, 2023), punch excision done in Oct 2024, healed ok despite leaving a large crater.

letter today: diagnosed as BCC and referred on for Moh’s surgery.

I’m feeling very flat and blah, I know it’s the gold standard, but have no idea of timescale (dermatology seems woefully oversubscribed and slow) or what to expect. I really had been hoping it had gone now; I had begun to accept the scare. And I’m feeling sorry for myself.

im trying to see if I can use our private healthcare policy, but whilst the BCC diagnosis is new, and it was an actinic keratosis until 2023, the original lesion predates this policy.

No experience of Mohs, just solidarity - I had a surgical excision of a lesion on my nose, yesterday.

Aww no! You’re where I was back in Oct then. Hopefully this is it for you! It’s taken so long to get the results through.
