Hi

Woke up with this. It’s like a spasm or tightening and it’s coming in waves, even when sat down, eg as am typing this it’s coming about every 30 seconds to a minute. Taken ibuprofen, still there. Otherwise I’m ok, eating fine etc, no temp. I thought it might be muscular from pulling the kids on sledges 🙄 but havent done that since Wednesday and not sure if muscle pain comes in waves?

It’s only on right side, to the side of my belly button and also up a bit.

Any thoughts x

Sounds like when I had appendicitis, it would come over me and force me to double over, then go away and then come back again. Appendix scar is lower stomach area though, a little above my waist. I'd get checked out ASAP.

Thanks. Yes I thought appendicitis was lower plus you’d feel really ill with it? I feel ok it’s just this odd pain. I have been pulling a sledge which obviously I wouldn’t normally do! And you use your core for that but don’t know.

I didn’t feel ill until the second day when I got a bad fever and ended up in bed.

Gallbladder, possibly?

Gallbladder, possibly?

Not sure at all. I feel ok it’s just these spasms, sat with hot water bottle on my stomach now which is helping.

I'd say - from personal experience- gallstones..

BCBird · 10/01/2025 19:59

Get a doctor's appointment OP

PersephoneSmith · 10/01/2025 20:05

Yep, gallstones

Gettingonabitnow · 10/01/2025 20:18

Really, gallstones. I will get a GP appointment next week. Seems to be worst when I sit upright. Thanks everyone x

In the meantime, get some Buscopan. It really helps.
