Help please! Recurrent thrush

Can anyone offer advice for anything that can help with recurrent thrush?

I've used many one-off treatments, both OTC and prescribed. I finished 6 months of Itraconazole in October and had a few wonderful, symptom-free months until now. I just want to cry.

Before the Itraconazole I had a flare up monthly, usually around ovulation. I'd just be getting over one bout when the next would start up. I'm terrified that this is the start of the same cycle again.

If anyone has found a solution to this I'd be so grateful for any help.

Thank you!!

Hi, I had this problem a few years ago now. I would get rid of it only to keep returning. I tried all OTC and went to Dr for prescribed medication.
I don’t know your personal situation but turns out it was my partner that kept reinfecting me. I had given it to him the first time and he kept giving it back. Apparently men can have it without symptoms so he used canesten cream on his bits for a couple of weeks and problem solved. Haven’t had it since.

Oh that's interesting and something that hadn't crossed my mind. Thanks so much for sharing.

You’re welcome hope it helps.
it wasn’t until my 3rd visit back to the Dr that this was suggested. Apparently quite common with reinfections. Why they don’t tell you this sooner I’ll never know!

Crazy! I've had at least 5 appointments and prescriptions over the past year. Such a simple solution if it works!

...and if it does then I owe you a drink!!

Please keep your fingers crossed for me!
