Just been diagnosed with Tenesmus after going to the doctors and explaining that I feel the constant urge to have a bowel movement due to constant rectal pressure. I’m not constipated and have a daily bowel movement in the morning but the pressure still stays. Its ruining my life at the moment as I’m scared to go anywhere due to the constant urge.
anyone have experience of this?

Oh my god yes! I had it after an extended course of cephalexin to treat a UTI a few years back. I'll never forget how terrible it was. Apparently it's really common after antibiotics because they strip all the good bacteria from the colon/bowel/rectum too and essentially irritates the lining, also common after prolonged diarrhoea and stuff. It was absolutely AWFUL so I really sympathise!!

It did eventually go after several weeks, I was told to take loads of pro and prebiotics and maintain a good gut biome balance and whatnot. Lots of water, lots of fibre and eat and drink plenty of good stuff to give your bowel (and colon and rectum I suppose) the stuff it needs to soothe the irritation and heal faster.

I hope it fixes itself asap for you!
