So Flamesparrow is now thinking it ISN'T man-flu... advice please

Friday morning I woke up achey, like the start of a cold - sore throat, couldn't face food.

Took sudafed on an empty stomach (stupid plan, I can't take any meds on an empty stomach, it makes me ill).

Spent the morning on Psychomum's sofa feeling generally rough and sick from the pills.

By the evening I was over the sickness, but feeling like hell - throat, sweats, shivering.

I spent the majority of yesterday in bed (which is pretty much unheard of for me - normally I hear things spiralling out of control downstairs and i have to intervene, but I didn't have the strength).

Again - throat really painful, aching all over (no head ache oddly enough), sweating, shivering, paracetamol and ibuprofen not doing much.

Managed a vaguely decent sleep last night. The sweats seem to have stopped, but my throat is still really painful, my arms and legs are throbbing pain, and my neck (outside) feels bruised.

So......... should I be loading everyone into the car to go see the Sunday doctor? Or do we think it is just a fluey thing and will pass?

I'm not in a fit state to drive, and my mum isn't around today to help with either staying with the kids or driving

I am not sure Flame if the Sudafed caused your sickness Flame, I was sick on the first day of feeling ill - nausea all day and vomiting once. So maybe its part of the bug.

Could well have been a mixture of both then! (I am always very ill if I take anything without food )

Throat is slightly better today and neck swelling has gone down a bit.

Now just generally exhausted and hurting in my neck, shoulders, hips, thighs and knees.

Joy.

I think I'm up to driving though so can get the kids out.
