Fine yesterday, maybe a bit tired but nothing unusual and had normal nights sleep.
Got up quite suddenly this morning to help my son get ready and felt a bit odd - lightheaded and nauseous. By the time I got downstairs I was covered in a cold sweat, feeling like I was going to be sick which is very unusual for me and/or have diarrhoea and very dizzy, my forearms felt tingly!!? Husband was a bit alarmed at how white I was and helped me back to bed, lay down and conked out for 3 hours. Now have the headache from hell (paracetamol not touched it) and feeling tired. Managed cup of tea and ginger biscuit.
If it was flu wouldn't I have sore throat/congestion etc?

I don't get general congestion or sore throat with the flu, usually headache, fever, all over body pains, sickness/diarrhea. I hope you make a swift recovery so much going round at the moment my kids have been non stop ill back to back for what feels like forever. X

Sounds like flu.

I was like this last time I had Covid. Suddenly felt dreadful while I was at work like I was going to pass out, very dizzy and weak. I came home and slept for a few hours then had that afternoon off and the Friday. Went back the following Monday and it happened again that’s when I tested positive for covid. Had a week off work in the end. I didn’t feel particularly unwell just absolutely drained.

Thanks so much, I was a bit panicked as I'm not usually an ill person and have always associated flu and covid with other symptoms too. That feeling of nearly passing out is horrid. Hope your kids are better soon @Birdwordie

Sounds like a vegus nerve faint (without actually fainting) If your blood pressure dropped when you got up that could have caused it. If the headache has passed it could be that and no other symptoms develop.
