DD with a sore nipple

Any thoughts about what it might be? She's 8, btw. She's complained about it for a week or so now, and I've been expecting it to be something that went away on its own, but it doesn't seem to be.

It's a bit early for her to be 'developing', isn't it? And it's only one - it's noticeably redder than the other one, and a bit swollen. She says she hasn't bumped it or done anything to it. I'm going to make a doctor's appointment next week, I think, to see if they have any idea what it could be.

When I was about that age, I had a swollen gland which made it look like one breast had started developing.

Pretty sure my mum took me to the GP. It went down on its own eventually I think.

Definitely take her to the GP to be sure JackieNo.

Yes . Its a breast Bud .
Often one develops earlier than the other .

Can be quite sore /uncomfortable if bashed . Take something eg Paracetamol .

I mean obviously cant say for sure ... Prob worth getting Dr to check .
