Today received the news that they are stopping treatment for my grandad and don't have long left and he hasn't met his great granddaughter, the problem I have is that the house is smoked in heavily and I don't want to my daughter in that situation as she's only 7 months old not only that my dad is now trying to use my daughter as a bargaining chip and on the lines of don't come down unless I bring my baby, my grandad not well and is not stable to be able to stand so he could easily drop her
What do I do in this situation

Please only kind messages

I’d absolutely take her. It’s only once and you don’t need to stay all day. Tell your dad that you’ll bring her if he doesn’t smoke while you’re there, if he does you’ll leave.

An hour wont hurt her.

The other thing it's not like we are just round the corner we are like 4-5 hour drive away and that is a long journey with a 7 month old

I’m getting vibes that you really don’t want to take her. It’s too far….its too smoky even for 1 hour….he might drop her….
Im sure if you really wanted to go and let him meet his great granddaughter you would find a way

The problem I have is my dad is using my daughter as a bargaining chip and it's not a place to take a 7 month old when someone is dying
