It seems to have come up overnight, he definitely didn't have it last night. Is it just a bang or something else?

He does have a dummy to go to sleep with, but he normally spits it out after a while (onto the carpet every damn time so I have to have spares at the ready)

Yeah, you're probably right actually since it's so localised in the middle of the lip. The silly sausage.

Update- I just found his first tooth through at the bottom! so it must have been a chomp!

Ah bless him. At least you know now.
He is beautiful by the way.

Thanks. I should have realised anyway, he's been uncharacteristically naughty and grumpy this week!

Hi i'm so glad I found some posts on this subject online coz earlier i was panicking coz my 7 1/2 month old baby also had a bruise on her bottem lip only. She's teething at the moment and has a dummy and gets very frustrated when it comes out. I just was racking my brains thinking where the hell did that come from!!! i thougt she might of hit her lip on something but i watch her and know she hadn't. I felt really sick.
