I fractured my ankle 5 weeks ago. It's improving a lot but I haven't managed a shoe nor to walk outside just yet.
My question is - my lower leg and foot is noticeably colder than the other one. Is this ok? Do I need to see my gp? Fracture clinic didn't want to see me after I went to A&E, I was just told to wean off the boot "when comfortable"

I would ring 111 as a starting point?

Could indicate change in blood flow. Could be due to reduced movement. Could be something or nothing, I'd get professional medical advise myself.

Not a medic but my experience of similar is that it's not abnormal unless there are other signs that your foot is struggling with circulation. Keep doing all thr exercises as often as you can. Don't forget to up your calcium for bone healing

When I broke my ankle I seem to remember my foot & leg being colder than the other one for a few weeks. It settled down.

You can do a capillary refill test on your toes, squeeze your toe over the nail for a few seconds and then release. If it flushes with blood normally then circulation is OK, if it remains blanched or takes longer than normal to return to a normal colour it's not.

I would also advise seeing your GP for general advice and a referral to physiotherapy.
