3 colds in 3 months.

Why am I getting so many colds?
Am I deficient in anything? Am I rundown? Or is it just pure coincidence?

I had one cold in October and another November and now this one. I'm sneezing coughing sore glands runny nose. I'm sick of it

Do you have/work with or otherwise see a lot of small children?

If so this is well within normal as small children are basically furious germ spreaders.

Not really. Mainly around teens and early twenties

I did have 3 or 4 lots of antibiotics back in aug '23 could that be why?

I think this happens some years. You pick ip your first bug, your immunity gets low and you are vulnerable to the next one and your body doesn’t really get a chance to recover properly.

Frustrating, but just try and rest as much as possible. Eat healthy, lots of ginger/lemon/ some turmeric, probiotics. There is a lot going around at the moment.

I have a full on cold for 3 months don't feel too bad as working. Coughing up yellow mucus when will this cold go away? Been to the doctor three weeks ago I have no chest infection, but endless cold.

Anyone else have a cold that would last last weeks??

Are you taking vitamin D supplements? We were told by a consultant that everybody in the UK should be taking 800 iu a day, in winter.

As for colds, ITA children and young people are super spreaders! Since DC left home, we only get 2 colds a year - while they were in school, we got more like 6. One at the beginning and another some way through each term! DS and DDIL are now complaining it’s the same with DGC!

I should look into taking vitamin D to help my immune system.

Why did you resurrect a thread which is almost a year old?

@LB007

Yes, cold for well over 2 weeks - finally getting relief from Covonia sugar-free dry & tickly cough medicine. Hallelujah!

Hope you feel better soon.
