Should I be worried ?

Hey everyone I’m 26 F. I’ve got all my wisdom teeth. Both my upper wisdom teeth are pointing outwards towards my cheeks , one of them is partially through. I’ve never had any issue with them they have never hurt me or caused problems and my dentist has always said they are healthy so there’s no need to remove them.

However I want to get Invisalign as I have crowding and my dentist has said I need to remove the uppers to do this . This really scares me. I’m worried the upper ones when removed will either damage my nerves or cause my sinus to be perforated.

Has anyone had their upper wisdom teeth removed that were pointing outwards towards their cheeks ? If so how was it ? Did anything bad happen or was it all smooth ?

thank you 💗

Hey, I’ve had all 4 removed when I was around your age (some time ago!) they did one side one week and the other side the next (so I could eat!)
I was a nervous wreck but went absolutely fine. Was eating soups for a while but all healed well. Nothing to worry about.
Mine were also pointing in to my cheeks and once all 4 removed it made my bone structure and cheekbones look much better and more defined too, unexpected bonus!

Thanks so much for replying that’s really reassuring I think I just need to be brave! and the sculpted cheekbones sound terrific too 😁x

I've had all of mine removed too and was absolutely fine, nerves will be fine, it's the lower wisdom teeth that can sometimes affect the nerve. Chance of perforating sinus is there, but rare and can be fixed easily. I honestly wouldn't worry x

I had all of mine removed at the same time when I was 23. Yes, I had a very sore face for a few days, but absolutely no problems at all.
