Blood in phlem

I've had the flu all last week and on Saturday was prescribed antibiotics for a chest infection. I feel better than I was but today I have had blood come up too. Not loads just blood stained. Should I check in with a GP ? I'm also 24 weeks pregnant. I have 2 days of antibiotics left

If it's only a little bit and bright red it's likely to be from coughing and not a big deal, but ringing 111 and asking for advice as you are pregnant would be sensible.

Yes, because though it’s likely related to coughing from your infection, they may well wish to check if you could have a pulmonary embolism which is one possible cause of blood in your phlegm.

However you would likely be sent to a hospital’s ambulatory service or your maternity assessment unit for a blood test/investigations.
