Possible low TSH

does anyone have any experience with low TSH levels delaying a period?

I have been taking levothyroxine to try and get my levels down to below 2.5 for ttc. Around 10th December I upped my dose from 50mcg one day and 25mcg the next to 50mcg everyday as my levels were 2.66.

my period was due to arrive on Christmas Day and is usually like clockwork. Today is day 6 of it being late so I was wondering if it is possible my TSH levels have now dramatically dropped because of this small increase and it is what is delaying my period?

thanks in advance for any advice

Are you sure you're not pregnant?

After you increased the thyroxine dose your TSH would have started to respond (ie fall), so it's possible you could have conceived.

@villagecrafts thanks for your reply. we’ve been ttc for 3.5 years now and have two failed embryo transfers. I was waiting on this period to arrive to contact our clinic to start the process of our third so I’m honestly just too scared to test as have been disappointed too many times.

Oh gosh, you must be in turmoil.

But I think the signs are good and it's worth doing a pregnancy test. Good luck!
