Hi
Thanks for your reply.
I know a little and i am a little cross also.I have been to my gp for years with palpatations -he diagnosed stress. Also swollen feet-he diagnosed lymphoedema.Recently shortness of breath - he diagnosed asthma.
I didnt agree with any of them and am not a frequent patient.I have said i doont feel well though for ages and recently my blood pressure has soared and my cholesterol also.had a full mot. Im a trained nurse and midwife so i know a little but not that much.I`ll nip up to hosp and see if my t3 is back later.
Thanks for your reply.

Fleximum my t3 was 6.5 which is i think top of the normal range. The pathlab had put a note at bottom though to say repeat in 1 month but stongly suspect hperthyroid ?
What do you think ?

I would agree with the note. It is usual practice to repeat in a month if results are not conclusive but the TSH is usually more useful and as yours is really suppressed so if I were a betting woman I would put my money on hyperthyroidism. If the repeat isn't conclusive, I suggest you push to see an endocrinologist anyway (you'll have to see them if hyperthyroidism is confirmed).

You'll probably get more responses if you start your own thread.

Please try to quote the reference ranges when you give your results. Where I live the ranges for FT4 and FT3 are (9-26) and (2.8-7), so your results would actually be damn near perfect as evidenced by the low TSH.

A below range TSH doesn't automatically mean you are hyper, although a lot of GPs seem to think it does.
